TRUSTING YOUR ANCHOR WHEN THE STORM WON’T LET UP

Trusting Your Anchor When the Storm Won’t Let Up

By Renee Bennett

There are moments in life when everything seems to collide all at once.

Grief shows up uninvited.

Life continues moving even when you’re stuck.

Chaos brews in your mind, your home, your heart and even in our world.

And in those moments, it’s easy to feel like you're losing grip… like everything around you is shifting… like you’re being pulled under by waves of uncertainty, disappointment, or pain.

But today, I want to remind you of something simple and powerful:

You have an anchor.

🪝 When Life Is Unsteady, God Isn’t

Hebrews 6:19 says,

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..."

That hope is Jesus.

Not hope in a perfect life.

Not hope that we won’t ever cry again.

But hope that even here, in the middle of chaos and loss, He will hold.

When the world spins with noise, decisions, and heartbreak, you don’t have to spin with it.

You can anchor yourself in the steady, calming, unchanging presence of God.

🌊 When Grief Collides with Your Faith

Grief is not always loud. Sometimes it’s silent. Lingering. Present in every room you enter. It comes in waves, and it rarely gives warning.

But your faith does not cancel your grief and your grief does not cancel your faith.

You can be broken and still anchored.

You can be unsure and still standing.

You can feel overwhelmed and still held together by a God who is never overwhelmed.

🔒 Let the Anchor Do What Anchors Do

The purpose of an anchor isn’t to stop the storm.

It’s to keep the boat from drifting when the storm comes.

Your anchor, your hope in Christ, is what holds when emotions rise, when the diagnosis hits, when the loss is fresh, when the loneliness creeps in, when the plans fall apart, and when your heart aches in ways you can’t explain.

Let the anchor do what it was created to do. Hold you.

💬 Final Encouragement

If today feels heavy…

If this week thus far has stretched your soul…

If you’ve been weeping in secret and smiling in public…

Remember this:

⚓️ You are not without hope.

⚓️ You are not without help.

⚓️ You are not without Him.

And the anchor holds.

Stay grounded. Stay hidden in Him.

He’s never let go of you and He won’t start now.

🕊️

With love,

Renee
