CHOOSE JOY WOMEN'S RETREAT was a vision-turned reality by host and founder Renee Bennett in August 2017. The first retreat was held at a beautiful 6000+ square foot home in the illustrious Highland Park, a suburb of Dallas. This was the first event of it's kind where prayer, healing, fellowship, laughter and great food all collided over the course of a weekend! Choose Joy Women's Retreat became a yearly, sought after event until the pandemic. 2020 caused us, like many others, to move over to host our retreat online and we experienced yet another powerful move of God. 

And now, here we are by the grace of God ready to convene our in-person retreat and we are excited to welcome our daughters for this years experience.  The mother/daughter relationship, we believe, is one of vital importance. The story of Ruth and Naomi comes to mind. Although Naomi was Ruth's mother-in-law, Ruth loved and honored the role that Naomi played in her life. According to Luke 12:53, the Bible warns us that division can and WILL happen but it doesn't have to stay that way. When something is unbreakable, it CANNOT be SHATTERED, CRACKED or EASILY DESTROYED! 

This year our retreat is open to moms and daughters ages 12-20 years of age, no matter the background or stage of life you may currently be in. We want moms and daughters that have the desire to slow down and draw closer in their walk with Christ and looking to create a stronger bond with each other. It provides an opportunity to reconnect with God through nature, worship, and quality time with other Christian women. The retreat will be held in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and begins Friday, May 5th and concludes on Sunday May 7th.

During the weekend, we will enjoy shared meals, worship times, along with plenty of free time to rest or explore. A glimpse of Saturday's schedule will consist of short teachings, prayer, small group times, individual time and large group experiences.  It is our desire to see women and our daughters to step into the truth of who they are in Christ, free to live and love the way God intended  Get ready to rest, renew your mind, rebuild that mother-daughter bond and be restored.
